Precious stone were brought "From Deccan:- Copper, from Rajputana:-Conch-Shells, From Kathiaward:- Gold, Silver, Led and Tin:-From Baluchistan, Afghanistan and Paris.
From the cities of Indus Valley Civilization were exported the things like Cotton, Cotton-Cloth, Ivory, and different articles made of Ivory. Cotton and cotton Fabric were chief items of export. Coins were yet to be introduced,. Bussiness was carried on through Battersystem.
Trade was carried on with Summer, Crete, and Mesopotamia through both sea and land route. Camels,asses, and Cart drawn by cows common transport.
Lothal was the oldest port of the world. A large numbers of seals made of Terra-cota have been discovered. Scholars are of opinions that they are made for bussiness purpose. These seals contains representations of animal figure and ships. Numerous seals engraved with Pictographic ScriptScript,have also been discovered.But this Harappan sript still undundeciphered.
