Archaeological evidences of Iron Age
The use of Iron in Gangetic Valley of North IndiaIndia began about "1000 B.C." and by about "600 B.C." The used of iron became more extensive.Now with the help of Iron tools the dense forest of Gangatic Valley of North IndiaIndia had been cleaned and the cropes of "Paddy,Sugger-Corn, Cotton,Whet, Barly, etc. were cultivated in Large Scale. Like Domestic, Architecture,Industeies, etc.
In the 6th Century B. C. there were 16 Mahajanapadas in North India in which 10 were inside of Gangatic Valley and only 6 were cultivated in outside of Gangatic Valley.The capital of Mahajanapadas were developed in the form of cities.The development of cities and archaeological finds of Iron in the Gangatic Valley clarified that iron technology played key role to change Pre-Historic Period to Historic Period slowly but difinatly.
